How can I adapt a MIDLAND 1001Z 2 Way Radio for home-base style use?
I know that it is meant to be used in a car, but I would like to use it as a home-base style cb radio in my home. What kind of power adapter would I need? What else do I need to do/get to use this as a home-base cb radio in my home?
You will need a base station antenna and a proper power supply. Typically a 2.5 amp 12 volt power supply will do the job. Mobiles work fine as home stations.
I have a Midland LXT80 2-way radio. does anyone know how to take off the battery compartment?
i've tried everything and i can't get it to come off.
i don't have an owner's manual either.
